Make Room for Guests

After our main bedroom and bathroom suite reveal, Jonathan and JD were feeling a little left out, so we turned our attention to our guest rooms. Drew and Linda love to host friends and family whenever possible, so we knew they would go above and beyond to create the perfect environment for guests to relax and feel right at home.

Before & After

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
TAKING OUT THE GUESTWORK

Our goal in the main guest suite was to make it feel like a retreat: somewhere people would feel comfortable enough dropping their bags, kicking off their shoes and relaxing for a bit before gathering with the family. To do that, we wanted it to feel a little different from the rest of the house, so we used shiplap and beadboard to create a more modern design aesthetic than the rest of the house.

SLIDE INTO BED

Space was at a premium in the main guest suite, so we had to get creative to maintain both privacy and style. These sliding barn doors provide both, giving our guests a beautifully designed space to rest after a long night of games and laughter.

JACK AND JILL WENT UP A VERY GREEN HILL

For the other two guest bedrooms, we designed a shared bathroom that would help our guests feel energized and refreshed, and there’s no better color for that than green! We paired this lush subway tile with our metallics-on-black motif from throughout the house to create a fresh variation on our design theme.
