When Lesley received a contract for a job in Las Vegas, she and husband Brian decided it was time to settle down and start a family in their spacious suburban home. Too busy to decorate, they’ve been making do with folding tables, air mattresses and an oversized bean bag chair. We reworked the home for better flow through the main floor, a bigger kitchen and a home with actual furniture!

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
BACKYARD BEAUTY
Maybe the best feature of Lesley and Brian’s house was what you couldn’t see from the street: a beautiful, thoughtfully landscaped backyard with a stunning pool. We installed impressive sliding windows that created a panoramic view of the outdoor living space, right from the living room. Friends and family will be able to move seamlessly between the two, giving the home an expansive, open feeling.
A PLACE TO LAY THEIR HEADS
We surprised Lesley and Brian with a redone main bedroom, which had little more than a blow-up mattress in it when we arrived. We decked it out with new hardwoods and furniture, and even a dedicated sewing and craft space for Lesley (scroll down to the “More Inspiration” photos to check it out!).
HOME ON THE RANGE
Lesley and Brian’s kitchen was pretty standard fare: a mix of whites and grays with all white appliances. We introduced color through the island and added detail with a custom hood and tiled backsplash worthy of this professional-grade range.
