Sam & Jeremy

Sam and Jeremy’s Forever Home is in the neighborhood where Sam grew up, with her mom right around the corner. Six-year-old daughter Avery gets visits from Grandma every day, but the home’s cramped, closed-off layout no longer works for their family. With spunky Avery’s help, tool belt, and personal wish list, we tackled the entry, living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom, leaving Jeremy and Sam with a fresh, bright home where Avery can celebrate birthdays for years to come.

Before & After

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS
A BANQUETTE FOR A BANQUET

Avery gave us a very detailed (and lengthy) list for her birthday, which included a table big enough for a pizza party. And if you’re gonna have a table big enough for pizza, you gotta have the seating to go with it. Our banquette solution not only brought the seats, but also the storage.

BEAUTIFUL BATHROOM ON A BUDGET

A larger-than-expected beam meant a smaller-than-expected budget, so we went with this off-the-shelf option for bathroom storage. As you can tell, it turned out great and blended well with the custom pieces we placed around it. Plus, it gave us bonding time while we tried not to lose a screw (figuratively and literally).

A LITTLE FLOOR FLAIR

Sam mentioned in our inspiration tour that she wanted to see something a little more unique with our bathroom re-do. We landed on creating a spa-like environment with an intriguing tile. We chose this fun, bold gray pattern to entice the eye without feeling distracting.
